Generational Dynamics

Much has been written about “generational differences,” i.e. differences in the values and preferences of persons from different generations or age groups. This area of study, often referred to as generational dynamics, has tremendous importance, impact and consequence for the success of the contemporary REALTOR® association.

Generational dynamics are currently presenting significant challenges for REALTOR® associations and their members. Chief among theses challenges are (1) the difficulty presented in managing members of the younger generations, Generations X and Y, as well as (2) the difficulties faced by association members attmnpeting to meet the needs of a consumer base more and more represented by generations of Americans 1-2 generations removed from the dominant real estate sales workforce.
